Tech Editor/QA Specialist

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Technical Editor/Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in either the Stafford, VA or Chantilly, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Review written and web-based instructional materials to ensure proper grammar, spelling, writing style, terminology, and formatting
2. Review web-based training products to ensure intended functionality, proper navigation, layout, usability, and conformance with other quality standards
3. Verify resolution of errors prior to final delivery
4. Ensure consistency and quality standards across project deliverables
5. Create and/or maintain internal Style Guide and client-specific Style Guides
6. Design templates for written materials in accordance with branding and existing style requirements
7. Recommend improvements for quality review cycles to increase efficiency and quality
8. Compile and maintain database of quality issues to lead to continuous improvement efforts
9. Conduct compatibility testing for web-based products (browsers, mobile devices, tablets)
10. Conduct SCORM testing on Learning Management System
11. Conduct accessibility testing (e.g. JAWS)
12. Participate and/or lead meetings with Instructional Designers and other team members to review materials, resolve quality issues, and determine collaborative resolutions to reduce future errors
Position Requirements:
Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for quality
Advanced user of MS Office products
Experience in technical training
Ability to understand technical documentation
Excellent writing and editing ability
Proactive articulator of process improvement
Quick learner of new technologies
Experience with bug/issues tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Review My E-learning)
Highly organized and able to contribute to project management
Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.
Understanding of Section 508 requirements
Proficient in use of PC systems
Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior experience with the Air Force Education and Training Command (AETC)
Familiarity with other U.S. Department of Defense organization's instructional training and education concepts, processes, and development models
Security Requirements:
U.S Citizen and eligible to obtain DOD Secret clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
