Assistant Service Manager / Service Writer

The Assistant Service Manager / Service Writer works with customers to schedule service work and communicates any additional services needed. He or she manages the administrative and customer relations aspects of the Service department. The Assistant Service Manager / Service Writer interprets customer concerns and comments for the technician so that the technician will diagnose problems correctly and translates the technician's findings into language the customer will understand.
The ideal candidate for this position has at least two years of experience in a dealership position, general knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations, a valid Virginia or Florida driver's license and an insurable driving record, and can work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, when required. He or she must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal professionally with customers, employees, and vendors.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
