Responsibilities:
Provides acquisition support on program management functions while assisting Program Managers. Analyzes improved policies, plans, methods, procedures, and systems of acquisition programs. Participates in developing contracts, potentially with multiple suppliers, to provide goods and services in support of program initiatives. Assists with acquisition strategy, assessing potential solutions, defining potential risks and mitigation plans, evaluating proposals, and making recommendations on potential suppliers of the goods or services. Demonstrated ability contributing to project and program acquisition rigor.
Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related DoD acquisition experience. Degree may be substituted with 11 years of acquisition experience.
Previous acquisition management support experience required. Knowledge of applicable federal, agency, state, and local acquisition regulations required. Knowledge of acquisition strategy, program structure development, program evaluations, and relevant compliance practices required. 5 years of experience with DoD acquisition management, program management, or contract management in a project or program office environment required. Experience with requirements analysis, cost analysis, systems engineering, integrated logistics, and integrated product teams required. Thorough knowledge of the DoD 5000 and ICCR guidelines and policies. Knowledge of contracting methods, types, and incentives desired.
Minimum DAWIA Level II certified, or equivalent.
Marine Corps Systems Command experience is a plus.
Candidate must be able to communicate effectively both oral and written and work both independently and as part of an integrated product team. Demonstrated ability to successfully lead junior analysts is desired.
