Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Local Contracts
_Gifted Healthcare Education Services_ is currently seeking experiencedSpeech Language Pathologists (SLP)to fill openings within several school districts in the state ofVirginia.
The ideal candidates should have reliable forms of transportation and should have a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Speech Language Pathologist - SLP2022 2023 school yearFull time Monday-Friday 37.
5 hours/week1-2 years minimum of school experienceMasters in Speech Pathology or equivalent out of state license with good standingOut of state Speech Language Pathologists and new grads are welcome to apply!Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist:
Manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 studentsMust be able to treat students with speech/language impairment only, speech as a secondary disability, and a self-contained program (4 classes) for students with autism spectrum disorder.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Assess students with speech or language disorders, diagnose and identify disorders, and determine eligibility for services.
As part of a team, develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Determines speech and language goals and objectives.
Develops speech and language treatment plans.
Provides appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech/language goals in the IEP.
Maintain records for the purpose of providing written documentation of services provided and student progress.
Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
Travel between sites, as assigned, to perform therapeutic activities.
Supervises Speech-Language Pathology Assistants.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
